This is not negotiable, consenting adults is
the ground work for this maxim. If it harms on any level (emotional,
physical, financial, etc.) another being against their will, it is wrong.
This is the base of the Golden Rule, do unto others as you would have them do unto you
(even and especially if they don't), and do no harm regardless. |
All beings have a divine right to
life, pursuit of fulfillment, and self-dignity. I use beings here because I
include all God's creatures: 2, 4, or 0 legged.
I have my parents to thank for this slant
of looking at animals. We NEVER had pets per se, we HAD additional members
to the family. It is why I abhor cruelty to animals, and hunting for
sport/trophies instead of just for food.
